About PalmCall
Island-style wireless, with a big network behind it.
PalmCall Wireless started in 2003 in Virginia Beach, Virginia, with a simple idea: wireless should feel as easy as a day at the beach. As a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO), PalmCall offered straightforward plans and friendly service on the networks of other carriers.
On November 1, 2007, PalmCall became part of Pinecrest Communications, the Charlotte-based carrier behind the eastern U.S.’s all-digital network. Today PalmCall customers enjoy the Pinecrest network, Pinecrest stores — and Pinecrest’s IslandRoam, the service that has connected travelers in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean since 2001. In July 2008 the two companies launched IslandData, bringing 3G data to the islands.
